I was exaggerating quite a bit, but he's really hitting the same notes on his main stories as of late. And by "as of late" I mean "within the past year."

So is he going on break this month, because if so, he missed an opportunity for a good expose on the IOC and the Rio Olympics for yet another round of "why the fuck haven't I repatriated back to England yet?" John's a hack and he should know better.

PFT works best when his articles are long and rambling, but his early articles were like that and the comments were almost all people going "tl;dr." His genius is wasted there.

I have no idea who owns/funds Barstool Sports, but SB Nation is owned by Vox, which is run by rich, self-important snob wonks. It's not like they're broke.

You still have more training in that subject than I do, so I'll take your word for it. And people say capitalism is an efficient system that encourages risk….

The only reason I can think of as to why he abandoned ship from SB Nation is because he knew Barstool sucks and wanted to troll people.

The AV Club changing isn't bad in and of itself. But changing it into just another website for hot takes and hamfisted allegories about how the latest Game of Thrones episode has parallels to a current event is bad, especially when it's being done to make sure that the suits' shares go up a quarter of a point. Unless

10-15 years ago, people of a leftward political bent were confused and amused by people of the opposite end that married their entertainment consumption with their political beliefs. After all, it was Karl Rove who said that making everything political is how you win elections. Today, those left-wing people are

A major reason why I loved AVC until recently is because they did a good job of keeping it about entertainment first. Before the shift to a Rovian "everything is politics" philosophy, the worst review I read was a Gravity Falls review where the recapper used it as an excuse say that he/she was shipping Dipper and

It wouldn't. Notice the remaining shows with regular reviews. They're either high-profile or they're on days when there isn't much else on.

You'd think that a show about a TV episode recapper would be catnip for real-life reviewers.

That's capitalism for ya.

But even in early 2015 when I swore of Gawker sites entirely, there was still a healthy contingent of pun makers in the comment sections of sports stories. Kinja is an awful comment system, though. Having to be approved by the author in order to get the most visibility for your comment is ludicrous.

oh hell yes I need this.

It's OK, friend. Lord knows I've been mad on the internet before, many many many times.

LOL Craggs didn't even get a job as a sportswriter. That shows the snake's true colors. There is nothing brave about defending such a malicious act.

And hardly any of it escapes the boardroom. Ain't capitalism grand?

refer to ascii art above

You could have just summed it up with "Teti is just one guy, the suits are the ones who's changing the site" instead of saying that and being incredibly condescending. Other people have.

It is, but there are a lot of plots in the first and second season that go nowhere. The first season has important character revelations, while the second doesn't as much. So that's why I recommend watching it like I said.
