Well, if some later comments are any indication, it's a mediocre movie like a lot of Hollywood remakes, so it'll all be in the past soon enough.

The mini-NES comes out ten days before my birthday. November is always a good time for video games. I feel blessed.
Kinda hard when this has become more and more prevalent on this site that I read for entertainment purposes.
The worst part about canceling China, IL is that no one says that they read my posts in Baby Cakes's voice anymore.
Most articles online are clickbait. There was an article on The Intercept with the headline basically saying people are going to jail for criticizing police. The actual text of the article says that some people in various parts of the country are getting arrested for making stupid, unsubstantiated threats towards…
"Waaaaahhhhh this show that constantly deals with controversial issues and diversity doesn't deal with this controversial issue about diversity in a way I wanted it to. I just pissed my diaper too." -the author
Unfortunate, yet unsurprising. For all the backlash and counter-backlash, mediocrity was the most likely result.
Good for you, asshole.
If it's good because it's funny and entertaining, then I'll watch it. If it's mediocre and forgettable like so much of modern-day big-name Hollywood output, then I'm not going to shell out $15 for a movie ticket just to prove a point about society. Unfortunately, "consumerism as politics" is prevalent these days in…
I don't like the recent development of some socially aware comedies putting social awareness ahead of comedy, but it's better than the alternative of a decade ago. That's when Comedy Central shows like The Jeselnik Offensive were marketed as edgy and in-your-face. I don't know what his show was like because the…
I'm not on the side of the internet misogynists. I agree that there there needs to be more prominent women-driven films. But when this site, Salon, Buzzfeed et al are all hitting the same notes and preaching to the choir that visits them, it gets annoying.
The Emmys are the most conservative of the awards shows, and that's saying something. That's why Modern Family is on the Best Comedy shortlist again.
There's still a panel? Those sucked when Colin Quinn did it and it sucks today.
Couldn't agree with you more on it being fruitless and unprovable. God knows I hate when people imprint negative beliefs on someone because of disagreement, I don't wanna stoop to their level. I can have my suspicions but they'll simply be just suspicions.
There is nothing noticeable about The Nightly Show. What is noticeable is that Freddie Highmore got passed over again for Bates Motel. Fuck you, Emmys.
Not quite a year later, Noah is drawing millennial viewers to The Daily Show and delivering night after night of sharp political thought and satire.
The thing is that Jon Stewart did all of those things you talked about, but he had enough charm to make you forget about it most of the time (except for the last couple of years when he was running purely on rage and exasperation, but even then, those emotions overrode the milquetoast shit). Trevor Noah doesn't offer…
As good as Mike Myers could be with sketches like Wayne's World and Coffee Talk, he also scrapped the bottom of the barrel with caricatures like Mr. Yonioshi, who I don't seem to think was the only Asian stereotype he played. Meanwhile, The Love Guru was so awful that his character might not have been the worst thing…
Trevor Noah is even more of a milquetoast both sides panderer than Jon Stewart ever was, but at least there are still good correspondents. I doubt any of them will go as far as some of the best of Jon's correspondents will, though, since The Daily Show is no longer a must-watch show.
What is with the 20 year old retro-active PC-ness about this article?
