I believe both of my old 2001 cars have a rain sensor that combines with your ‘interval suggestion’ and calculates either speed or water on the windshield to adjust as necessary.

They gave it zero stars in nannies because it doesn’t have : Lane departure warning, blind spot alert lights, auto emergency braking, pedestrian avoidance braking, etc. All the things that protect people not paying attention from hurting themselves or others.
