Yeah I really think you could make a similar statement about most, if not all, other franchises.

Yeah, it’s absolutely a bribe.

The situation on Deadspin has become dangerous and unacceptable.

That’s probably fair, and definitely true about Kobe.

I’m not a Thunder fan, I just like Westbrook more than Curry.

Save for your Rose and Clausen takes, I think these are all solid. With Rose, you’re probably half right. He was very good, maybe he didn’t totally deserve the 2010 MVP, but it wasn’t a totally egregious award. I don’t think the Bulls would’ve had the juice to get past the Heat, even with a fully functional Rose.

Now we’re talking

England also spreads their TV revenue around more evenly. Even mid-tier EPL clubs have as much spending power as all but a handful of continental European clubs.

I like this take.

I had a friend in college who was insistent that Lemieux was better than Gretzky. I didn’t know or care enough about hockey to argue.

I feel like the consensus on Hinkie should be he had a good (if not nearly as revolutionary as it was touted) plan that was executed poorly

The BCS was goofy and stupid, but I liked it a lot. I prefer it to the playoff.

Want hot, here’s hot. Derrick Rose, had he not blown out his ACL, would’ve been better than either.

I agree wholly with the anti CP takes. He’s a good player, but I saw someone say he should’ve won 3 MVPs, which is probably the craziest and worst take of them all.

I believe that Russell Westbrook is a better and more exciting player than Steph Curry.

It used to be the former, but it’s definitely becoming the latter.

Thanks for stopping by, Mr. Gervais.

So I was probably 20 feet away from this guy when he jumped/slipped/fell. First off, he was wearing a Mets jersey, so I don’t think he was actually a Cubs fan (an unimportant distinction given the situation, I know). Second, security had already warned him about trying to climb over the wall into the basket. From what

One of the first things my now-wife did when we started dating was get me to stop calling things “retarded” and such. I never used it in the context of disabled people, but I threw it around liberally enough that it was a problem. I can’t thank my wife enough for making me break that terrible habit.
