Black voters can be just as ignorant as white voters, surprise.

When has Joe Biden ever shown himself to be an “actual human being with the capacity for empathy”? When he was supporting the Iraq War? When he was interrogating Anita Hill?

That was such an inoffensive question, how is this person being a bro?? What the fuck?

“Bros” to me are white and affluent. So I don’t know any bros who would vote for Bernie, because this demographic is typically conservative in my experience. But I guess this is anecdotal as well.

The “base” is not the Establishment. It’s the consulting class who decide Joe Crowley and Henry Cueller are better representatives of the party than AOC and Jessica Cisneros. It’s the DCCC punishing progressive candidates for primarying anti-choice house reps like Dan Lipinski (who also voted against legislation that

Organizations that represent the interests of minorities are not replacements or stand-ins for minorities themselves. They are organizations. Hence why you can’t just say “LGBTQA+ people are the Establishment Dems being disparaged.” Being critical of an organization for their relationship to investment banks does not

Pelosi did the same in Texas for Henry Cuellar. Hope you feel the same about her, but judging my interactions with Jez commenters this seems unlikely.

So the other 50% of LGBTQA+ people are not registered dems? Then I don’t think you can add them to the definition of an Establishment Democrat, which (for almost everyone) refers to people who stand to professionally/financially benefit from legislation.

Bernie said in 2019 that he would pick a woman. I assume the woman he had in mind then is no longer down, or they’re still deciding.

I’m gonna vote for the guy who’s eyes aren’t bleeding, who doesn’t grope children, who can form coherent sentences and isn’t actively sundowning, and who’s voting record is better. Thanks though.

“When you bash this “Establishment” you bash me, you bash the women, the lgbtq+, the disabled, and the people of color I have worked in the trenches with.”

He’s held to a ridiculously low standard. He doesn’t need a consistent voting record, and he doesn’t even need to be honest about his voting record. His eye didn’t explode. So he won.

Everyone is better than Trump - that is all the large group of people you listed have in common. There is probably an argument to be made that Biden’s rise is primarily the result of voters thinking he would beat Trump, and not thinking critically about his policies/record/senility. So my point is that voting for

It’s weird that for you any of them would be fine. I assume because policy isn’t really a concern of yours?

All those people have very different records and policies from one another. They’re not really a monolith.

1) “The previous rule allowed students who had been defrauded by their schools to apply for loan forgiveness.” This sounds like it’s not guaranteed which is fucked already?

I don’t want Bernie to step out because I think the next debate will be very important. I am unconvinced Biden could handle Trump. I hope he does well, and is thus able to beat Trump. But if he’s just a flailing mess like he’s been the past couple weeks then I will be worried. And I will understand the fawning

It’s not just a way of speaking, it’s a very clear decline in quality of speaking that has occurred in a few short years. Compare him now to how well he did during the vice president debates. We know he has been able to do stages and crowds in the past. What’s going on?

Slandering HRC” this is the whitest comment I’ve ever seen.

I think we all agree that older black people voted for Biden based on name recognition, since he’s been keeping an extremely low profile during the primaries. I can’t name a single Biden policy from his 2020 platform.
