I get what you’re saying, but I think we also realize that individual responses to systemic injustice aren’t enough. I am against human trafficing, but I don’t buy sex, so therefore I am not part of the problem and those women need to figure it out for themselves. I am white but not racist, therefore racism isn’t a

Tell your dad to fuck himself, Stephen.

Very true, and here’s some more zero-chill but intended-to-be-friendly advice for anyone who’s driving EVER: When you are in a line of slow-moving traffic and someone is trying to pull out in front of you from a side street or parking lot, NEVER. NEVER, NEVER “waive” this person out onto the roadway. You are

The “core value” is that lower enlisted should unquestioningly do what they’re told. The only person in any branch of the military who is interested in what an E-4 thinks about anything is the chaplain.

Six years lower enlisted in the Army here. Twelve years in any branch of the military is more than enough to know that if you’re sitting in front of an O-5 to talk about memos you wrote, you’re fucked. I’m not condoning how he was treated, far from it, just saying that if you’re going to call people out, you *have*

U.S. District Judge W. Louis Sands threw out the case because Kendrick’s parents, Kenneth and Jacquelyn Johnson, failed to serve the defendants with their amended lawsuit in a timely manner.

All the WR’s, on the teams the Jets will face next season, have chipped in to get Revis the best lawyer possible to try and make sure he will be on the field on game day.

If it’s not one thing, it’s another. When will people understand the military doesn’t conform to you. If you don’t like their regulations, get out. There are more important things to worry about then your hair.

What planet do you live on? Barkley called LeBron out for being a bitch and then LeBron proved he was a bitch by calling out Barkley for his gambling problem. Nuance? Give me a fucking break. LeBron is a petulant child.

That sounds like a goddamn nightmare.

@cait98: Consent to what exactly? And your sympathy doesn't count here. This isn't about bedside manner. This is about someone shoving their hands and machines and instruments into your vagina and anus when you don't want them to. This is not about women learning to be reasonable. This is about the medical system

@cait98: I agree that it isn't rape, but "consent" is a tricky concept when it comes to childbirth. Oftentimes, things are presented to you not as options, but as imperatives. You CAN say no, but believe me, it is very very hard to do so in the moment, when you're scared, in pain, and feeling cornered.

@cait98: I don't understand your concept a childbirth. The things you mention "thrashing around in pain," etc. pretty much only happen in the movies. Also, things don't "need to be inserted" to get the baby out without your consent. Nor do vaginal exams need to happen without your consent. It is not medically
