I don’t know that it’s that surprising, Splatoon is a great game! Also, while Zelda and Mario kart are indeed on the WiiU, you have to remember how many people skipped out on that generation. I never had one, but I bought the Switch so I could play them.

Splatoon sold more copies than Mario Kart 8 in Japan. They absolutely love it.
