I don't want to aggravate anybody but just my two cents.  The guy will never know the pain he caused no matter what is done to him.  All we can do is be better people than he is and keep him away from the rest of us that are alive.

Dark Knight Rises will be fine.  It has got a lot of love from the critics, it made a shit ton of money and people will come back and see it as it will be playing all summer long.  It will, however, always be mentioned hand in hand together with the massacre.
