Thanks so much for being attentive to access and health! I’m a mostly-vegan (for ethical and health issues), but I can’t (nor do I want to) cut out the small amount of animal products I consume. And the raft of shit I get for that from other vegans is... as disgusting as a raft full of shit sounds. So I super

I agree that it is a privilege to be able to follow a fad diet, but I don’t want to link fad diets with people who eat mindfully as part of a commitment to broader social change. MOVE comes to mind as an example of the latter.

also, you can’t just say ‘i grew up around people who were poor and were just happy for food except for the wrong kinds of foods’

Right? Like you addressed that in your comment. I’m just glad he’s still grey.

Okay?

I’ve taken to just eating what ever bugs are within arms reach and fistfuls of my own hair.

Yeah, for the old money, the only way they stay that way is by knowing how to be productive, or at least knowing how not to waste a fortune.

It’s a weird idea for people who don’t have much, but wealth & affluence correspond pretty weakly with actual happiness. Cassandra Clare at least writes readable books.

I took senior Physics and Biology and have literally never used either. What basis do you suggest that people “need to learn” that stuff? Ask yourself this question “do I know how the modern education system was developed?” Because when you find out the answer you might not be so quick to judge.

It was Lev Grossman in “Time”, who wrote that. He also wrote: “People do not want to just read Meyer’s books; they want to climb inside them and live there... There’s no literary term for the quality Twilight and Harry Potter (and The Lord of the Rings) share, but you know it when you see it: their worlds have a

I agree. The ideas are good, just not well executed. That’s a problem many people who want to write have. They know which story they want to tell, but they don’t know how.

Of course! The published versions are the professionally improved drafts. Sit with that for a minute.

This looks good. I didn’t know haliee was a good actress.

Lard spare me white men who think social media is “silencing” them. Nope, it’s just allowing other, more interesting voices to finally be heard.

Well, you can’t expect men to write for women. And if women were doing the writing it would be, like, a Women’s Magazine, right? /s

Who is it for?

I crossed Australia off my list of places to visit because it seems everything there wants to kill ya but now that I know it’s like America was 50 years ago and I can get “throwback people” I want to go there.... even less.
