I want to like her more than I do too, because she seems awesome. Actually I just wish I had more WOC artists that I was aware of and into. I’ve realized I honestly don’t. I tend to pay a lot more attention to representation when it comes to, say, books and movies, but with music, I guess I haven’t. If anyone has recs

I swear to god when I was in the 7th grade I once witnessed girls in the bathroom pressing the skin at the front of their necks together, because apparently there were two veins there that if pressed together made you feel high? This was fifteen years ago and I have literally never heard of this anywhere else ever, so

It’s weird because I remember while watching the cast interviews for The Social Network, he seemed so much more relaxed and personable than Justin Timberlake, who seemed awkward as fuck. But maybe they just caught him on a good day that one time?

Yeah, I don’t really get the practice of lumping current teenagers in with millennials. Didn’t we used to talk about millennials in terms of college students/ recent grads? And that was happening even a few years ago. Current teenagers were in elementary school then. They deserve their own category. They’re going to

This. Really, if I were famous and anyone asked me about any political issue that wasn’t directly related to work I’d been doing, I would be like “I’m sorry, but I don’t think it’s my place to comment on that.” Because really, it isn’t.

I feel this way as well. And honestly, as someone who grew up with two large-personality-having siblings, I can’t wait to give a kid an ‘only’ childhood one day, assuming I end up having kids. My little cousin is an only and she has to be the most confident and well adjusted kid I know. She’s also excellent at

Heh, yeah, but it was supposed to be ridiculous - they were using dick pics as a way to demonstrate the government’s invasion of privacy. It was all quite entertaining from what I recall!

If someone is being treated unequally at work they have a right to complain. Even if the inequality isn’t a life-and-death thing, why shouldn’t they get to be treated like everyone else?

I thought this too after the John Oliver interview (don’t think I’d ever seen him interviewed before that). My brain was like “Aw look at this dude, all dorky and trying not to be awkward while Ollie talks about dick pics” and my body was all like “GIMMIE NOW!”

This is ridiculous. If you say something in answer to a question, isn’t it kind of implied that what you say is your opinion? I mean, what else would it be?

I had to explain to my friend recently that whenever anyone starts talking about something mundane and everyday, my flaky daydreamer brain automatically tunes it out. So if she wants me to remember that I’m supposed to only use the green towels when I stay over at her house, she needs to write it down on a notepad.

The thing is, I feel like I DID know this at 16, but I didn’t know how to articulate that feeling. I loved wearing short skirts but I didn’t wear them for boys. I wore them for me.

Or maybe everyone should just wear the exact amount of clothing they feel like wearing?

Heh, yeah, I can see that. Apparently the Wachowskis are known for writing interesting stories with bad dialogue (didn’t know that before watching as I am not a Matrix fan or anything). The diversity was one of my favorite parts about it, and also just the idea that such different people could connect that way. It

Yeah, violence was a bit over the top at points I agree. I loved seeing the trans character and such a diverse cast in general.

Anyone feel like talking about random new sci fi television ? I recently watched Sense8, Dark Matter and Killjoys. Thought Sense8 was amazing, Dark Matter was pretty bad, Killjoys was good-ish...I think? It’s hard to say since there has only been one episode thus far but I quite liked the lead female character/

“You’re so sweet and did such a good job here, I can tell you’re never been outside the comfort of your family and friends before” —from a girl I volunteered with overseas in college, when I had already been living in another part of the country from my family for two years.

CANADA STOP EMBARRASSING ME I THOUGHT YOU HAD MY BACK

Does the world really need another James Bond of any kind? No, it does not.

Yeah, I feel like Hollywood doesn’t really make ‘big’ movies with two twentysomething leads unless it’s a teen movie (like the Hunger Games) and they’re playing teenagers. Otherwise at least one of them, usually the dude, has to be 30+
