Agree. I recently watched the movie I Origins where the lead actress' (very beautiful) eyes were shown up close a lot and I LOVED that you could see her dark circles and everything, they didn't have her in a ton of makeup. Beautiful eyes that look real are where it's at.

Man, I do not miss being the teenager everyone thought looked 2-3 years younger than my age, which is about a lifetime in teen time and is absolutely NOT considered a positive thing, unless you're a model I guess. Hooray for aging! (And finally being able to take 'you don't look your age' as a compliment)

Well there was that time Lorde tweeted that Kim K was her mom (I think?)

Ha. I remember this show was one of those that I was kinda-sorta not 'aloud' to watch, which of course made me love it even more. Also, I had a little sister exactly like Quinn.

omg I need the adult version of that gown on my body

I wish someone, anyone, friend, family, stranger or myself, could predict who I should marry. I don't have a damn clue. I know quite a lot about what I want career-wise at this point but still go back and forth all the time about whether I want marriage or even a long-term relationship, ever, or children. SOMEONE TELL

No, we were just 'fragile, hysterical ladies' back then

I don't really have much to contribute but just wanted to say that I love all her comments here; thank you for highlighting them. Also, her mention of the gap between what you want to say and what you should say kind of hit home for me as someone pursuing a career where I may eventually have to talk publicly about

I'm so excited to see him in Star Wars! It took me a LONG time to warm up to his character on Girls honestly, (Ray, too) but I enjoy him (both of them!) now. I thought this episode was really good compared to what the show was last season.

I think she was being sarcastic? I mean, she's an actress and is surrounded by attractive people, many of whom she is presumably friends with. I doubt she thinks all attractive people suck.

Maybe it's some kind of dumb schoolgirl fantasy of badass-chick-changes-the-asshole-dude-into-sweet-loving-bf-with-her-super-awesomeness but I kind of want them to end up together now.

People still share bedrooms. Not everyone lives in a big suburban house.

not in this context. one is predatory, the other is completely unremarkable for anyone who ever shared a room growing up.

They're not necessarily urban legends. The world is full of people who don't always follow the norms of society and sometimes that manifests in the names of their children. I once knew a girl named Gallery, and it wasn't a name with origins in a particular culture or anything, her mother literally saw the sign on a

That's still a good thing, though, isn't it? It's still leading these conversations to happen. Criticism is part of any important conversation.

I'd never heard of the name 'Azalea' until these two came out and suddenly there are two famous Azaleas at the same time, one with a slightly different spelling. I don't blame anyone for mixing them up.

Well, I can't speak for everyone but I want certain kinds of movies to do well (quality sci fi, female led, etc) because it means more movies like that will get made. What I and many others are hoping is that the success of The Hunger Games will lead to more movies like this being made.

I guess when something doesn't really have a story and just has a bunch of action it translates a lot better across cultures, because there's less to translate?

Well, I was speaking generally, not about her specifically. She can date who she wants. I was just making an observation based on the relationships I've seen that there can be power differentials that result in unhealthy relationships. Obviously no one on the outside can tell just by looking at a couple's ages whether

Yep. I recall I knew a girl when I was 12 who had an 18-year-old boyfriend. At the time I thought it made her Super Cool but now I am like WTF. What the fuck kind of 18 year old wants to date a 12 year old? A creepy one, that's what.
