There's a few good ways to make sure people stop shooting but the problem is finding one that works. It's a complex maze of issues and we do need that dialogue to at least start but I feel there's too many vested interests willing to keep it going at any cost, regardless of who's being shot.

That conversation will be put off for as long as possible for varying reasons, mostly down to denial, racism of the passive and active kinds, hubris, money and power, ignorance and good ol' "not my problem".
