A quick search on Cadillac shows 2024 Lyric Sport 3 with options already costs $84,235! So another $10k+ for a V model? Oof.
EV depreciation is less than it looks on its face for tax credit eligible vehicles. If you paid $40k and it’s worth $30k next year, your real depreciation is only $2.5k if you took the $7.5k tax credit.
Math is hard.
“He purchased a Volvo C40 Recharge EV but wanted to get rid of it after only a few months of ownership due to technical problems; the infotainment screen and backup camera would randomly cut out and the car would make a loud screeching noise when reversing.”
Someone should really offer some kind of insurance to cover the gap between what your car is worth and what you owe on it. They might even call it gap insurance.
An 8 year old Mazda for $11k PLUS 27.9APR on a 68 month loan? HOLY SHIT...
Poor Financial Planning Totally Screws Man Over, And He’s Not The Only One
There, I fixed it.
You do realize that tariffs just raises prices for the end consumers right...
Look I'm a libtard so what do I know, but the constant shilling for Chinese EV’s on this site is a little ridiculous. If you haven’t noticed, they use any profit we give China, they use to craft the means to destroy us. Maybe don’t give them the arrows in their quiver?!
That’s what I said, I just wasn’t as clear as I could have been. It [Nautilus] replaced the MKX in its [Nautilus’s] first generation as a revision.
The interior reminds me of what the Jaguar XJ COULD have been. That wraparound dashboard that continues into the doors is very nice, and does seem very boatlike. Keeping with the nautical/aviation theme Lincoln has going on right now.
Bar none, Lincoln has the best model names in the industry right now:
“The Nautilus does look way better than the MKX it replaces. The outgoing MKX was the second generation of a model that debuted back in 2007 and had been largely unchanged since 2016.”
I read that article at MT, and while I think it’s great that Lincoln is getting recognition for its “luxury first” approach (instead of trying to pump out yet another sporty “track ready” SUV), I think it is really important to point out that the car that took part of the testing was a top of the line Black Label with…
Bolt SS or Leaf Nismo. Are they one of the only EVs without a performance trim?
Mitsubishi Mirage. Build a tiny terror!
I wish there was a sportier version of the Mazda6. I’m on my second estate. I had a 2.2D, which died when the oil pump broke. It was fast enough and had pull, even in lower gears, but sublimely in the high gears.
Now I have a 2.0 (NA), which is a bit slow tbh. Struggles in the upper gears, but pulls ok in the low end.…
It has been said before, but Hellcat the Chrysler 300. Shares a platform with the Charger/Challenger, and it has been done before. As far as engine swapping on a modern car it’s pretty straight forward. Just tune the suspension for performance, and boom super sedan.
How fitting: one jerk impatient driver getting hit by another jerk driver not checking their blind spot before merging over.
