I don’t find it surprising at all, Ford has a Research and Innovation Center in Silicon Valley (not in Dearborn) that isn’t limited to cars, we all know they are venturing into tech/connectivity. The “bench marking” may happen in MI but I’m certain they would keep that information in MI.
