Yeah, they want you to follow the rules so much, that they patched out an item duplication glitch.  Which while I think AC is great as is, there are a few rough edges that probably could have been addressed instead of patching out an exploit.

Exactly.  As great as Animal Crossing has been for maintaining my sanity during this time, I feel like it’s worth distancing yourself from in an attempt to avoid burn out.  Like, I can already feel myself getting a little exhausted with the game, purely because it’s all I have at the moment.

Thanks very much.  And I hope things turn around for him as well.

Yep.  That’s the beauty of contract labor.

This has been a week of turmoil for me.  Lost my job thanks to COVID-19, so that sucks, but at least I have more time for games... right?  I guess that’s my “social distancing” plan.

I’ve only recently developed a soft spot for some fantasy settings honestly. DnD really helped that. Mostly I enjoy the SciFi setting way more than fantasy. As for games that are my cup of tea, it really varies. I’m playing Ori & the Will of the Wisps currently and really enjoying it thus far. I enjoyed a lot of Read more

Yeah, I feel like most of the early game stuff I dealt with was pretty generic and stereotypical MMO quest design. Considering WoW released in 2004(?) it isn’t super shocking that a lot of the early stuff didn’t age well, but as someone jumping in fresh, it was just a lot to contend with. Read more

Spot on.  Chaos Theory is still a prime example of the best the stealth action genre has to offer.  And while I loved the level design it boasted, I just feel that modern gamer sensibilities mixed with Ubisoft’s penchant for open world games means that it’s destined for that approach.  But I agree, the small decisions Read more

I’ve heard a lot of people profess their love for Blacklist and Conviction. I enjoyed those entries, but I think Chaos Theory was the sweet spot for me. Regardless, it is almost assuredly going to be an open world game. Like you said, that’s Ubisoft’s thing these days.

Chaos Theory was great about that stuff.  I’ll never forget the “deader than Elvis” line from early on in the game.

Every time I see Assassin’s Creed Black Flag on a list like this, I’m always curious about what people saw in it. Controlling the boat and the combat that came with it never clicked with me which ultimately led to me bouncing off of it. Read more

Oh I think I like Agro a little more.  He’s got a sass that I appreciate.  That kind of thing is such a fine line though.  Because I’m SoTc it wasn’t so bad, but when Trico wouldn’t listen to you in The Last Guardian, that was infuriating.

So what you’re telling me is that Roach is the most accurate game horse of all time?

That’s exactly how I felt when it first came out.  It took several attempts for me to get into it.

The skill stuff does seem a little limiting, but you touch on something that does explain that decision pretty well. You’re playing an existing character with existing lore about his abilities and stuff. I think it would be fantastic to see a Wither 3 styled game but with the ability to make your own character from Read more

I’m just glad I was given money instead of death. That could’ve gone real bad. Because of people like you, the first few agonizing hours of NMS became a lot more bearable. So thanks.
