The hardest part of this trick is finding a great picture. If you're trying to use a picture of yourself, you'll have to find one where you happen to be on the lower left corner of the shot and fairly far away. Most candid photos are much too close-up and centered for this to work.

I hated the crappy PowerDVD app that came with my Dell desktop a few years ago. But it did push me to discover VLC, so some good came out of it. Oh, and a lot of PC's come preloaded with a free trial of Norton or McAfee or something. They all suck.

Worth noting: I tried this on my Hero, and though it does work, the key spacing is all messed up because of the smaller screen resolution. So it does work on any rooted Android phone, but it will work a lot better if your rooted Android has the same res as the Nexus S 4G.

@dervish: Thank you! I actually just clicked Force Stop (clear defaults was greyed out), and exited the settings to find ADW back just as I left it. Zeam looks really cool, so not a knock on the app, just that I had quite a few shortcuts stored in folders on my home screen and needed to get back to them.

Sorta noob question here: I tried this launcher, and it's nice and all, but I want to go back to my comfy ADW for now. But I can't seem to figure out how to do that without uninstalling Zeam. Help?

I'm stuck with barely 1mb down on Centurylink DSL near Orlando, and it's the fastest connection they offer in my location. The only alternative is Bright House cable, which is even more evil than the phone company. There's nothing I can do except move somewhere else. This country needs line-sharing asap.

I don't get Speed. FML

@foolish-rain: I use AbiWord for any basic word processing since it just opens up almost instantly. I only use OO for spreadsheets. Even then I find myself using Google docs instead. OO needs to be a lot faster on Windows.

So sad. I use Xmarks a lot.

@ezjensen: When I'm sick (ie. sore throat), I stay off coffee because the caffeine is a diuretic. So I'll have some decaf tea, usually like a citrus-flavored tea that soothes my throat (maybe with a little honey if I have some around). I don't like drinking tea otherwise, though. If I'm feeling good and I have a

I drink a cup of black coffee almost every morning. I only drink tea if I'm sick.

When I first saw that I thought they were seatbelt buckles. No way that would've passed NTSB safety laws.

Around here (Central FL) we have a number of Herbalife peddlers. I used to see one in his Herbalife-plastered SUV at the McD's drive thru all the time. Hypocrite.

@Bizdady: what clock/weather widget are you using? thx

Does this mean we'll get a Jalopnik poster in Car Town soon?

What? No effeminate French mime in a striped shirt smoking gauloises?

He should've learned his lesson from the first incident and parked the Robin in a garage.
