So having quoted it you must see i made no mention of taking time off work or playing all day? Maybe you need to look at how you profile gamers since i (a fairly normal person) meant ‘for a few hours after work around family commitments’. Everything you have written is an indictment of your prejudiced assumptions

Not sure if im in awe of, or horrified by Kirk’s dedication. Im at 200 and change!

Ummm the only one of those words i said was paltry...i have taken no time off work, dont know where you got 5 days from, clearly didnt say i was bored as i mentioned ill be playing iron banner, made a flippant remark about the well-known high cost/low yield of destiny expansions and then discussed what i like/dislike

the big problem for me is his lack of pace, made a bigger problem playing behind a slow, but strong and skillful striker in Ibra. They need someone that can burst in behind and onto ibra flicks and into the space his movement creates.

I guess you thunked wrong then, Jeff, but thanks for playing ‘what other people should or shouldn’t do’ today!

Mental health/serenity always should come first so much as i love the game go with your instincts. I only raid with close friends as otherwise anxiety makes me feel like im letting the team down and i stop having fun. But the game is a fantastic stress reliever, sometimes i just patrol for hours popping heads haha

I already anticipate the hollow feeling that will come from completing paltry new stuff in RoI in a few days, followed weeks later by playing Iron Banner til my fingers hurt because its so damn fun

Its funny, i’m the total opposite. I play EASHL with 4 friends, some of whom have way more free time than others. with the new approach we succeed or fail based on our ability to play as a unit.

I realised early on in my playthrough that this game is far better if you don’t feel you HAVE to play. If i play it like Destiny, or an rpg (3-4 hour session, no distractions) i get bored and annoyed. If i play it for an hour whilst reading Kotaku, listening to music or cooking dinner, its a fun distraction.

Yeah, to give them credit at least there have been demos to give us some idea of how it plays

Definitely waiting. Production over different console gens, for more than a decade, director changes, vague dlc....i love ff more than pretty much any series in gaming but this has all the hallmarks of being a horrible mess. Please let me be wrong!

Dont know if good luck or bad luck but after 5 hrs im still on my starter planet. Thick forest world on which ive met 3 aliens, found a new ship (which had the back story of predator!) a trading station, learned 12 alien words, 3 monoliths, bunch of animals, 7 suit upgrades, 2 new multi-tool and over 30 different

Am i the only who thinks this many changes right before release suggests a complete lack of vision and oversight? They work on game for 5 years then add to and change pretty much everything significant now? Why didnt they do a beta six months ago and use the feedback?

I ended up cancelling my pre-order last weekend.

The glacial pace bothered me. It seems to be an AMC trait. There were times i just started looking at my fishtank and noticed wife staring out the window.

If only Iron Banner wasn’t running at the same time....

To be fair, you really dont need to spend any money on fut to get a decent team. The rewards are much more generous than in madden and nhl and games far shorter, so you can earn enough coins for a gold pack or decent signings in the auction house in an hour or two.

I was really hyped for Division but after just 2 weeks it was stale and tedious. It took bullet sponges to a new epic level of sponginess. Might boot it up to see if much improved but last time i did that it had created more problems than it had solved

As much as i’m not much of a mobile gamer, am ios/android 2d sonic with brand new levels but in the style of the old megadrive games would get me reaching for my wallet

I have the horrible feeling ffxv will be barely playable until a bunch of patches fix everything months later. Still wont be able to resist the day one purchase though.....
