As far as first episodes go, this was indeed a vicarious, fun debut. Not everything is 100% faithful, as you'd expect, but the accuracy weighs out the changes, and it's altogether still a fun ride. I initially thought 2 hours per book was a little much, but it seems to work quite well. Just The Bad Beginning alone is
