I don't doubt that it does do this. I'm just saying that connecting back to the #777 happens so quickly that I've never noticed it.

No. I never said that. I never said that it takes more power. I'm just saying that the old Siri couldn't do most of the things that new Siri does. It's an entirely new system, just based on the same technologies.

No! No! No! No! No! NOOOO!

What? I have a Verizon iPhone 4, and I text while downloading stuff, and it doesn't stutter or anything.

Apple never lied. They have never said that it can't run on older devices. All they've said is that "Siri is 4S exclusive." That's not a lie. But never has Apple claimed that it needs the dual core, special microphone, magic fairy dust... That has all been speculation.

Avenue Q wasn't one of the longest runners... It was only debuted off-broadway in 2003.

I've noticed that every once in a while, my autocorrect just needs to be completely reset. Go settings, general, reset, reset keyboard dictionary.

Which is exactly why it's hidden. Apple must not have thought it was good enough to release, so they shut it off until they can get it working as good as they want it to.

Ah. I never caught that. Sounds like the lawyers got a turn to design an ad campaign. :)

I head that apple and Samsung dukes it out in court at one point for title of world's thinnest smartphone. The judge said that you have to count it by the thickest part of the phone, so the iPhone 4 was still the thinnest. So I imagine apple will snap on Moto if they claim that this is the thinnest.

You know, there's been a glass cube there for 6 years now. It's not like people are going to start forgetting its existence all of a sudden.

That's wonderful!

Actually, I imagine that many requests ARE being recorded, so that Siri can learn how to process different dialects and speech patterns. Plus it would be helpful, if there is a common thing people ask siri for that she doesn't understand.

I'd imagine that would be pretty confusing, even to more-advanced users. Imagine you're running, and can't see the screen, and then Siri does absolutely nothing unless you speak in the old voice control cadence, and then still can only do a couple things. It would have to have some warning beforehand.

no. You had something completely different than this Siri. SRI's Siri app hardly did more than google voice search.

Apple stores have their official return policy and then the one that they follow. The one they follow let my grandma return an opened printer six months after she bought it.

I was turning applications to 3 different apple stores in the Pheonix metro area. One was so slammed that I waited ten minutes to speak to a manager. Ten minutes away, the next apple store was so empty that you could talk to the manager from the other side of the store. It's weird how different the stores can be

I doubt. The stores are already so busy. This seems like a way to just void hiring more people

Yep. I drank to Koolaid right after I changed my own ram and my own hard drive. Oh, and I even followed the directions on apple's website.

If you mean retina like ~300ppi, then it wouldn't work because at 60" or whatever, there isn't a content provider that makes content with that many pixels. It would be a waste.
