Nah. I don’t get “reading off an index card” from his delivery at all. And his status as a gamer has been well known for a long time. Fallon may be annoying a lot of the time, but according to everyone who’s worked with him, his exuberance is genuine.

I hope Cecilia does a “redo” on this. She says she watched each episode multiple times, but failed to grasp the reoccurring and blatant themes, morals, and motivations that make this show more than just a pretty power fantasy.

It’s weird. Your complaints are actually some of the reasons I like the show.

Instead of manufacturing suspense and bleeding everything he can out of a situation, ONE takes the piss out of the mere idea of drawing that sort of thing out.
