I had to play through 6 NG+’s to get the shards I needed in the Tower of Latria alone but that Platinum trophy meant more for it. I’ll never forget it. Not sure if I love this change, but I’m sure as hell not going to complain about it.

God, I love Picross games. My favorite was on the DS—-being able to use a stylus was simply brilliant for a Picross-style game.

I highly recommend “Hungry Cat Picross” on mobile, FWIW. It’s free, it’s in color (some purists don’t like that), but my favorite parts are the weekly puzzles made of a 9x9 individual puzzle…

Same thing, not sure why comments aren’t approved? It used to be one of my most important reasons to visit Kotaku daily outright (& I loved it for that). 

Curious why this didn’t get approved, responding to it to see if it helps. I still can’t find any information----you either know what to do or you chastise others for not knowing (& worse, saying the tutorial teaches you “everything you need to know,” which, in all sincerity, it does not).

FWIW, Squadrons works brilliantly with my Thrustmaster HOTAS setup. It’s surprisingly well-tuned, too (I’ve been dying for an X-Wing Alliance-style game, and this is close but not quite, by design). For the record, the last place to have any recorded pre-order stock opportunities was Wal Mart online at 6:24 AM EST this morning, Sep. 18th 2020 (no, I did not get one).

I still think it’s STRANGE any of these sites let everyone buy up to 9 console packages.
I get that it’s the 21st century, but the “clusterf***” could have been largely mitigated by that part alone, no?

You’re not thinking this through. When people are buying 9 of them at a time & you want one for your kids, it’s not unfair to get a little upset.

Thanks for not offering any of that info, though. And to be fair, I’ve dove through dozens of YT videos searching for anyone explaining more about the sim part of the simulator. Mostly it’s nothing at all like that, certainly nothing that has helped me learn radio comms, tracking & picking runways, etc.

But that doesn’t really help to learn much (& in my experience doesn’t often help until you’re close). For example, radio communications, no idea how to use them, when, why, etc. Like, I get what you’re saying about spawning in Bing maps, totally, I’m just not interested in that because I can do that on a phone—-I…

Thank you for this——I like the sim plenty but I still feel like it never taught me pretty much anything about the SIM part of flying—-landing & takeoff for a Cesna is almost intuitive to anyone, but the rest of the sim is essentially inaccessible for me; it simply never teaches you how to use anything else in the game…

I just wish I had any idea how to do anything——I did the tutorial. That’s it. It doesn’t teach you anything else. THAT is frustrating. I’d love to plan a flight from SC to OH but have no idea how to make that happen & the “game” can’t really help at all.
