Yeah, I’ve given him a few /slightly/ larger books to read (Matilda, Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, BFG) and he was alarmed by how large they were. He said he didn’t even need to read Charlie & The Chocolate Factory because he’s already seen the movie with Johnny Depp. His mom did some clever, “Ah, so you know all

My nephew has been looking for books to read, but he tends to shy away from larger novels. Diary of a Wimpy Kid tends to be his upper limit right now. This list gave me quite a few ideas of shorter reads that he might enjoy!

I was wondering if this was the case for all those small towns listed. It looked like (in the few states I lived in) that all the towns were located far, far away from any real industry. I guess I expected the housing to at least be within a 30-45 minute drive of a major city.

I think you responded to the wrong person. I’m not on a ketogenic diet. I have a medical condition where my liver can’t process fructose and any fructose I do ingest damages my liver & kidneys and can cause me to go into a coma. Since fructose is in all vegetables and fruits, I have to avoid those. I do exercise 3-4

So, for the shoulder pain positions, are you supposed to sleep on the side with the shoulder pain or without the shoulder pain?

I previously had neck pain from sleeping on my stomach. I switched to my side and now I have shoulder pain.

I agree with #1 and #2, but #3 is not applicable to fructose intolerance. 2 out of three ain’t bad, though.

Yeah, I couldn’t see it working with liquid liner. Pencil liner actually makes more sense. If I curled my lashes and owned a curler, I definitely would have tried this tip. I can never get pencil liner to work without coming off lumpy/spotty/clumpy. This might be one of the few ways to get it to work best.

I like to put on my eyeliner before my eyeshadow. That way if there are any mistakes, I can cover them with eyeshadow.

I don’t use an eyelash curler, but I would think that this particular lifehack would be extremely difficult to pull off and would (more often than not) result in a messier application.

A few years back, I really wanted a daylight alarm clock to get me through the winter months. Much like the one featured here, it was too expensive of a purchase to buy if it ended up not working for me.

My husband found the Lighten Up! outlet/plug thing on Amazon and ordered it for me. You use your own lamp. It

My husband acquired toe nail fungus after visiting a gym and walking barefoot in the lockers. While not exactly the same thing, it’s still not pretty and impossible to get rid of.

Seconding this comment! My bobbis never stayed in place smooth side down. The day I learned I was wearing them wrong was the last day they slipped out of place.

I have a pretty regular diet and very rarely stray outside of the norm. I have to have a very strictly regulated diet due to a hereditary disease. I can’t eat things like fruits & vegetables. Needless to say, this causes some vitamin deficiencies. I was curious as to what vitamins I might be low in, so I typed in a

I was thinking this as well. I paid $100 for my rain barrel. A generic barrel would work just as well. You’d definitely want to store it indoors—to prevent water collection and spiders. Mainly spiders.

I buy a lot of unsliced deli bread (for dietary reasons) and spent years slicing it with a steak knife. Later I learned that there was a bread knife in my knife set. It worked better, but was too small for the size of the loaves. I went out and bought a specialty bread knife and have never looked back. Around the same

Oh! I forgot about library books! I remember being really excited about that when I learned of that capability, but never got the chance to use it due to relocating. My new state does not have local libraries and I completely forgot to even try that functionality. :(

Yeah, it’s definitely cumbersome getting a book on the reader. The touchscreen editions were a dream to use and looked gorgeous. I think they partnered with Borders right before Borders went under, so that didn’t help things at all. Lots of missteps along the way. Amazon got it right the first time with wireless

I was going to post the Sony Reader, but I just realized that they don’t make them anymore. It was a really beautiful piece of machinery, but didn’t take the market advantages that the other readers took.

I was completely confused by the vehicle inspections coupled with the vehicle ownership annual tax. They are clearly encouraging people to keep vehicles that are of a lower value (old beaters) so they can pay a lower annual vehicle ownership tax (which is based on the vehicle's current retail value), but at the same

Showerheads can TOTALLY be easy, if you have a standard shower setup. I broke the clip that holds the hand-held showerhead and it took 3 weeks to find the right parts to install a new showerhead. For some odd reason, the person that installed the last J-pipe did not install it at a T, but instead used a 45-degree

I've lived in Ohio, Michigan, W.Virginia, and now Pennsylvania. WV was the only state where I flipped out over how much and what all was taxed. Your income is taxed, your home is taxed, your dog is taxed, and your car's value is taxed. You have to pay the dog (this is in addition to paying for a dog license) and car
