I’d be more inclined to agree with you if Skyrim hadn’t sold so money copies this past holiday season on PS4 and X1. There’s clearly a market for this game on anything that can run it, and a handheld form factor is a new market for it.

It’s not ENTIRELY like this, in that your Nintendo Account does in fact store what games you own. It’s because of this that they can restore your purchases to a replacement 3DS if your old one is dead, lost, or stolen.
