@Rapture Rising: A lot of the update is for performance issues, bug fixes. 4.2 on iphone 3g helps with general speed issues in the UI.

@WJNiles: Have you experienced the problem yourself? Just because others have doesn't mean you will. If you like the computer, and apple has stated they are aware of what is going on and will fix it, why return it?

@USB_Humping_Dog: How about the xbox 360, playstation 3, blueray players, every computer or smartphone on the market. They all come out with bugs that software updates later take care of. I know this is the second MBA but it might as well be a first gen device the way it was redesigned.

I have tested a 3g iphone with both 3.1.3 and a clean install of 4.1 and seen marginal difference. Yes the first 4.0 update was bad. But the 4.1 has helped a lot. I would recommend anyone with an extremely slow running iphone to restore and set it up as new. Seen this do wonders for bogged down 3g phones.

@sweetelectro: you can choose to manually manage music. thus being able to drag and drop.

Even if you don't sync media with itunes it is smart to still run your iphone through it once in a while to make a backup. More often you back up the less time it takes. Can be very useful in the case of loosing a phone or needing to do a restore.
