The mid-80s Escort GT (saw a fairly nice one of those last week) made the EXP redundant.  They tried again with the ZX2.

What vehicles are designed for 85? I don’t think I’ve run across a single one that didn’t require 87 or better. Sure, I don’t know every vehicle on the road, but I’d think I’d at least have heard of one.

A 23 year old and their designer dog drive their overpriced stock SUV/truck to one of the most dangerous trails in the nation and disaster strikes - this is a weekly story at Black Bear by this point.

Ford Flex. It wasn’t a flop, but selling a little over 300,000 units during a run of 12 model years wasn’t enough for the blue oval. Selling a CUV alternative is tough when your customers overwhelmingly prefer a regular old CUV. The cool and funky wagon-ish vehicle lost out bigly to the generic blobs. Sad!

I’m looking at it now and it turns out that’s true, even though the configuration tries really hard to say otherwise. It says the “AWD with 2.0L EcoBoost Engine” is $3,305, but when you select only that and go down to the pricing summary, it lists $2,220 under “Options and Accessories.” They should probably fix that.

It has been DAYS since our last attack. The problem is pretty much gone.

I was today years old when I learned that Ford made a manual Fusion.

See, a Manual 2014 fusion would seemingly be a pretty zippy car to drive. They’re not slow by any means, but I imagine the Manual completely transforms it.
