Interesting that you compare the Mustang II and the Edsel. Even if not a good car, the Mustang II was a sales success with over 1 million sales from ‘74-’78, and it carried the marque through the dark years of the ‘70s. The Edsel was a contemporary flop no matter how you look at it, even if the cars are more

But the OFII article does not speak to the causes of increased activity in the auto sector, and specifically speaks against policies that would hamper investment.

Not sure what you were trying to impart with the linked OFII article, but the cited BEA report on increased employment in the auto sector was a study done from 2010-2015, before Trump took office.

Really they’re a more-capable all-season than a true snow tire. From Tirerack:

What my associate is trying to say is that, uh, our new brake pads are really cool. You’re not even going to believe it. Like, um, let’s say you’re driving along the road with your family. And you’re driving along la li la. And then, all of the sudden there’s a truck tire in the middle of the road. And you hit the

Funny thing is, Ram trucks still show up on Dodge’s website.

Colorado State Patrol has been using Chargers (not exclusively) for a few years now, and they look pretty sweet as well.

Carbon black 2002 Ranger XLT SuperCab 4x4, first year of the FX4 Off-Road (later Level II) package, and with the manual transfer case. Bought it second-hand in 2006, still got it.

Not necessarily.  Apparently Ford and FCA have added workers covered by UAW contracts, but that doesn’t mean they increased their overall worker headcount.

According to Bloomberg (and they quote data from CAR), yes.

So true.  I was at Laguna Seca this past weekend, and the sound from the ‘Vettes made me feel like my chest was going to explode.

One of the car blogs (can’t remember which) stated the reason for the increased spread between regular and premium over the past 20+ years is the growing demand for premium. More people own vehicles with turbocharged engines, and many falsely believe premium must be used in said engines.

There’s likely a little gamesmanship going on here as well. Ford gets to claim “best in class” with 430/475, so there’s really no marketing advantage with more power (and aren’t published power figures really all about marketing anyway?).  Likely, Ford can relatively easily turn up the wick on this 7.3 if/when Ram

Could be a mahogany dresser. Better just get an F-750 tractor to be safe.

N: It really doesn’t matter since final assembly is such a small part of the overall vehicle. My Fusion was jointly designed and engineered in the U.S. and Europe, uses a UK-assembled engine and gearbox, and final assembly was done in Mexico.

Yep, every 20 years or so Ford forgets it’s, you know, a car company. Today, it’s being pitched as a “mobility company,” back in Nasser’s time it was a “consumer products and services company.”

Can we please be done with the black wheels trend?

N: My car isn’t that new (bought in Dec. 2014), but I’ll throw out hill start assist as a feature I absolutely don’t need and have never used.
