When you look for Mics, see if you can find some nice bundle deals. I got a great deal on an MX 990 (for voice), MX 991 (for instruments), and a 2-channel preamp all for $100. I was able to grab it because the store had it listed online, but didn't have the deal in their store—I asked anyway. Got a wicked deal.
