My Uncle Bruce used to do that shit to us all the time. We were watching Little Monsters and he crept around the side of the house and came in screaming through a sliding glass door behind us. I lost several years off of my life from that scare.

My aunt and uncle used to show my cousins and I classic horror films whenever we had a sleepover. It always began the same way: "Hey kids, we're gonna watch (The Haunting/The Birds/The Changeling)." All of us would moan about old movies being crap.

Big ups on your avatar and username, @avclub-8340e374d0b62e03090b5094d10a6778:disqus . It made my morning.

I guess they're skipping town - we don't have very merry weather.

Glad someone went to bat for season 2 of FNL. My wife and I were going to skip it entirely after hearing all the bad reviews from friends.

If there is, I can't think of it. Glad you caught up with Goodfellas - it gets better with repeat viewings.

Sadly, my years-long love affair with bud has ended. It used to be a ton of fun but now I just turn into Woody Allen. Sludgy music is still great with beer, but not the perfect combo.

Went to see a doomy metal band called Serpent Throne on Saturday night. Their set was short but intense. If there's anything better than listening to a stonery rock riff blasting at 1 AM with a pint in your hand, I don't know what it is.

"I'm sorry, this was an inappropriate scene to show you, as it was edited for time, not content."

@avclub-95d952510e02ffba7fa228e4d43866cb:disqus My favorite moment is that total downbeat last line - "Americaa…. fuck."

I know it's not really a musical, but the scene in Run, Ronnie, Run where Mandy Patinkin is singing "Ya'll Are Brutalizing Me" will always be one of my favorite musical scenes in a film. Check it out if you haven't seen it: http://www.youtube.com/watc…

"You don't put a bra in the dryer, it warps!"

"Uncle Fucka" from SP and "America, Fuck Yeah" from Team America are two of the most absurd, hilarious things I've seen in cinema history. Seeing them each for the first time in a theater were wonderful experiences.

It was of course all terrible, but in a fun way. You have to worry when they can't get scrambled eggs right, but double damn are Radagast's red velvet cake balls good.

Started replaying both Xenogears and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night over the weekend. When I want fast bursts of insane monster action, I take out a boss in Castlevania. When I want huge globs of confusing biblical exposition, I play Xenogears. It'll always be my favorite JRPG and I love revisiting that world,

Fuck yeah Scott Hutchison. Although I'm worried about watching anything that makes the singer of FR cry.

"It's a wonderful restaurant!"
