It’s amazing how people can’t see this clip for what it is, a continuation of what Conan thought was a joke at the time. People have really lost their minds if they think there is more to this. 

It really does make you wonder how many other rich and famous people are walking around knowing awful shit about their friends and colleagues and are too chicken to go public—or simply don’t care.

Yeah the author is stretching a lot here.

Not saying he didn’t know anything, but it definitely is in line with his usual stuff.

Having watching a lot of Conan (mostly during the Late Night era), I don’t think this indicates that he knew anything about Masterson, just because he’s used this type of line with a lot of guests. It’s possible - it’s not like I could know for sure - but I doubt it given just this clip to go on.

Most of these are bunk. because they aren’t actually in your control. It’s not a matter of being “ready” for self-checkout, and it’s problematic to write this etiquette listicle implying people are making a choice out of convenience or efficiency.

Nope, that original redditor from years back had it right. Self checkout is anarchy. My only hope is that it can wreak enough havoc to slow/halt the installation of these, so that customers are no longer letting stores off the hook for having to pay employees by doing the job for free.
