I don’t know if you’re aware of this, but GMG is not in great financial shape.  They bought out a bunch of bloggers last year.  In other words, you’re lucky you’re getting content from this site.  Asking for moderators is asking for quite a bit!  

Given that his comment plainly states he believes the kids were trying to start a fight with Phillips - an assertion that’s based on his personal high school experience alone and has zero supporting evidence beyond that - I’d say my reading comprehension is fine.

The fact she’s in the majority doesn’t insulate her, at least entirely.

So when a meaningful vote is on the table, what do you expect her to do? Drop her demand on ICE or vote to fund it to open up the government?

So what’s going to happen when her vote does matter?  Will she flip-flop and drop her ICE ultimatum and be painted as a drama queen that is all about optics or will she stick to her guns to appeal to her no borders base?

If you want to place racism from whites on a different level of “wrong” than racism from blacks, you’re free to do so. To me it’s the same wrong and should be treated the same. It’s hard for me to say “Yeah, the Black Israelites were better behaved than the Catholics” when they were saying equally crazy things.

So your argument is that the Catholic kids intentionally started yelling at the Black Israelites - not Phillips - and somehow knew that by doing so Phillips would inject himself into that “debate” and walk up to the kids banging his drum in their face to start a fight?

Whether the “build the wall” chants happened is questionable and even NPR has said it cannot be heard on the video.

No, he’s free to counter-counterprotest (or whatever) as he was doing. If he wants to walk up to the kids and bang his drum as he did, then he’s free to do it. I would question why he felt the need to do that, and to me it’s an asshole move that’s begging for a response.

That’s my take as well. No good comes from trying to pick between crazies.  If they want to protest and yell at each other, let them have at it but there’s no need to make the craziness crazier.  

So when I said that the kids had a 1A right to be there (which they do and did) and you then shifted to whether a private employer could punish them, despite the fact none of these kids are apparently employed, you agree you went off on a completely irrelevant topic?
