I get what you’re saying but when you look at Iran, Egypt, SA, etc. it seems pretty plain that there’s a tendency of Muslims (at least from that region) to really want to implement Sharia law. Qtub & Co. really seem to want it very, very badly. I realize there’s over a billion Muslims on the planet but the bad apples

On their health care, this is from the story:

If the rez is a state, they can control their own voting and healthcare.

What else do you expect Shafi to do? I think treating it as “business as usual” is the only way he can remain in his position. If he throws a fucking fit about it, then he’s just going to accelerate his own ouster. All he can do is hold onto his position, do a good job, and hope that convinces the hillbillies he’s a

The funniest part of this dumb slut’s article is that she didn’t trust the average Splinter reader to know what WASP means so she literally had to spell it out in the headline to make sure that they got outraged right away.

You’re right, but had they given him the cold shoulder, it would just be new ammo to use.  Now he’ll have to go back to the same old, same old.  And, eventually, I think that will wear out.  It might take longer than 8 years but, still, no sense giving him anything else to get indignant over.

About halfway through reading your comments, I came to the conclusion that you are incapable of rational thought. You’re the typically hysterical Splinter commenter. Thank you for proving my point.

Then Trump would just use that to talk about.  There’s really no effective way to treat Trump.  For all his many flaws, he really is adept at building narratives and then running wild with them.

But even turds can be right and I tend to agree with the observation that, somehow, our national leaders usually tend to be more flawed than anyone you’d meet inside a prison, which is where about three of the people in that picture should be.

Given the fact that “domestic violence” is rarely a Federal crime - given that it usually happens in the home and does not involve anything occurring in interstate commerce or people crossing state lines - yes, you’re reliance on a Federal definition was pretty stupid.

Mediocre ruling class is what all Splinter readers hope for.

They’re you go.  And as the ACLU is to all the other civil rights they fight tooth and nail to defend.  They’re all three pretty bad ass organizations that are out there fighting (at least in their own eyes) the good fight.  I don’t agree with them most of the time but do admire their passion.

PETA, the NRA and the ACLU are all variations on the same theme.  They all defend an issue they hold dear and fight like hell over it.

Freedom of speech protection!  I can burn the flag, I can burn down trees so long as HamNo calls it protest.  It’s written into the law of every state.

Wait a minute.  WASPs aren’t in control anymore?

I suggest you look at subsection (7)(A)(i)(II) of the definition you pulled out of your ass and let me know how broad it is. That’s why VAWA has been the subject of criticism, at least in part, although there are plenty of complaints about the scope of VAWA and whether it actually achieves anything.

Since the statute does not define “intimate partner” it’s open for interpretation.  If the fucking CDC was a legislative body, or a judicial one, I’d care about it’s interpretation.

I hadn’t heard of that proposal or the plan to squash it but, unfortunately, it does not surprise me that they’d want to kill it.  FFS.  I take solace in knowing it’s Missouri and they seem to be trying to go backwards as fast as possible for some reason.

And I can say with confidence you’re probably the type of person that thinks calling other people names is effective.

Just because you want to make domestic violence the worst crime evah does not mean it should be.
