Couldn’t agree more, I was reading this article and thinking to my self “do I really not get it, am I just an idiot” and I saw your response and all these others and I thought “Oh thank god”

Dude thank you, I’ve tried to read On the Road and Dharma Bums both because I figured I “should” and its so hard to get through. I just keep thinking if I met these people who blather on in pretentious poetry in real life I would probably hate them. His contextual writing is fine but the dialogue is infuriating.
