I hope the person responsible is found and punished. When a young woman in my area was killed in a hit and run a bit over a year ago people were practically doing a grid search for possible vehicles. Social media was a big factor in finding the guy.

I think that some people fight so hard against accepting that their friends are rapists in situations such as this because if they accepted it they would then be forced to reexamine their own past and accept themselves as either rapists or victims.
