I agree, like — why is this such a retread, if it’s meant to be a sequel???

I would pay good money for the *right* live action adaptation of Egg Fu, thank you very much.

I’ve seen the first one twice (I was high out of my mind the first time) and I still can’t tell you a single thing about it.

;)

It was more a murder prevention, with Paxton being the victim in the past. It was OK as a movie, but - yeah. A series would either have to drag that one case out for multiple seasons or turn it into a time crossing procedural Maybe both - preventing all kinds of crimes in the past while working up to the big one in

The movie was actually pretty good, undeserved by a poor ad campaign. The murder mystery aspect sneaks up on you and is probably one of the better applications of the butterfly effects in fiction.

“Rip-off,” I don’t think you know what that words mean. Terry Brooks and Terry Good kind made solid careers ripping off JRRT. Read them, and you will see it. No half elves in Muggle town yet.

Woman writes fantasy story: SHE RIPPED OFF MALE AUTHORS!!

Descartes comes to mind.

Imagine how quickly that meeting goes downhill if Shaw goes into a detailed apologia. “It’s what I choose to believe” helps her keep the meeting on topic and her team focused on next steps.

They also couldn’t be bothered to work the fact that she was sterile into the film in any meaningful way so she just randomly blurts it out 10 seconds before having sex with an infected man that instantly makes her pregnant with a squid baby.

You do have a point, I’ve been noticing my arguments regarding DC are getting repetitive.

It was filmed in Canada (AB) and Emily Andras (Killjoys, Lost Girl) is the show runner, so it’s not surprising you’re getting some Lost Girl vibes.

Jman40513 will be in full existential crisis mode if the movie doesn’t bomb—not to mention if it’s well received. Therefore, Jman40513 takes every bit of actual info released regarding the movie and finds the least flattering interpretation and then takes it as a given. It’s Jman40513's thing. It’s okay. It gets kind

50/50, End of Watch, Scott Pilgrim... I just find her a very charming and likeable screen presence is all.

Although not charming and likeable enough to save Pitch Perfect actually, to be honest, that shit was dire.

There’s a movie called Fluke that’s about a guy who dies and then comes back as a dog and has to prove that the guy his wife is now with caused his death. It was a tear jerker from what I remember. Haven’t seen it in probably 20 years.

Hahahaha, holy shit, really? I...may have to check that out. I haven’t loved everything James Gunn has done (Slither was meh), but he’s generally been a strong writer.

Here’s another weird one in hindsight:
Two of the [five credited and four additional uncredited] screenwriters on Armageddon: Tony Gilroy and J.J.

I mean no offense, by the way. but some grind is much less noisy than you probably imagine. some death metal probably much, much moreso.

Agreed. I actually didn’t mind the pissing eagle scene that much anyway.
