Exactly, and it is not impossible that the pupetteering and effects studios would charge standby fees for any delay, because they can’t take on other work while waiting for that production is delayed for an unknown number of months.

Venom vs Kraven? What a crazy idea. Never gonna happen.

Yeah, I don’t go see movie in theater more than once either unless I am accompanying someone else who hasn’t seen it. Like last summer I had to keep a kid busy for a few hours, so Across the Spider-Verse got a rewatch from me.

“Put a bunch of familiar characters* together for a murder mystery” is not a bad plot hook. I’m not sure why you need to tie it to an existing IP, but then again, can we really call Club 33 an IP? I sure had never heard of it before now, sounds like an obscure in-joke for Disney Park fans (and I am pretty anti-Theme

Because we all know people who haven't seem them all and understood them perfectly fine?

Abigail is really, really fun. If you enjoyed Ready or Not, you'll absolutely enjoy this one  If you haven't seen Ready or Not yet, it makes a great double feature with Abigail, since both are built on the basic skeleton. Like, they aren't carbon copies of each others, but they feel very much like sibling movies.

He’s a producer. He won’t be “making” the movie per se. He’ll make sure the movie get made on time and on budget. Different job description. He will only write or direct if the project is in deep shit and someone, anyone, need to do the job. That’s what happened on the X movies.

As a producer, he made sure to deliver a number of profitable big-budget films on time, on budget and with minimal fuss on set. That’s his job description.

So nothing is changing but a few words before a title to try to get the thickheaded bloggers and reviewers to stop pretending you need to “watch everything” and “do homework” to enjoy the Marvel movies, because the “superhero fatigue” narrative drives engagement and makes for an easy scapegoat for a complex media

Does Matt Tolmach do stand-up? Because he’s a fantastic comedian. Come on, people going to see Kraven over and over during the holidays? That’s absolutely hilarious.

Funny thing is, based on the trailer, there is a character in the movie that would make a perfect villainous Kraven... but they got him playing Kraven’s dad instead.

My guess is that between all the special effects and the production design work to bring this alternate world to life (and thry did an amazing job with it btw), it was probably pretty pricey to make. So it was successful, just not successful enough to balance out the production cost.

The ratings gods are mysterious, and often completly bonkers. I have more than a few 1-season wonders in my list of favorite shows.

was equally. It's just missing a space.

I don’t know about Peter Pan, but I know we had a Pinocchio horror movie before:

Yes. Horror is extremely cheap to do, and slasher is among the cheapest type of horror. It’s why the genre has been so prolific - all you need is some backwood, a few 20-somethings non-union drama students, a week-end, and a few thousand dollard, and voilà. And there is a big enough audience of teenagers that just

No shoutout to the Droidekas? Blasphemy!! They are the coolest thing in the whole movie

Ding ding ding. Got it in one. Overlong, pretentious, culturally appropriative, and the product of the emotional/psychological abuse of its stars. God I hate this film. The source comic is great though.
