Physical copies are now basically a hobbyist market. Those who have made a choice to enter the hobby don’t need any further incentive. They mostly buy movies they like and have already seen, so the availability of the movie on streaming isn't really a big factor in their decision.

It seems to be a toss up right now. It did ok at the box office, but it got steamrolled by The Super Mario Bros Movie. However, it was very well received by critics and audience, and lauded by fans, so it could have legs in streaming. Also, while Wizards are being very greedy and incompetent with it, they clearly want

Now if only they had the courage to marry Betty and Veronica:

Wait, are MMOs still a thing?

Never saw any of the film, but I do have a funny tidbit to share: but I’m visiting London right now (at Windsor Castle as I type this) and my hotel has Sky TV and there is a dedicated Fast & Furious channel that just show the movies all days. I don’t know if it’s a permanent thing or if it’s just a temporary promo

I didn’t see the actual play, but the score for the Beetlejuice musical is actually pretty good, and gives the story more of an dmotional throughline. I think a movie adaptation of the musical would be the best way to go for a follow up. It worked for Little Shop of Horrors and Hairspray.

Well, fuck, I really loved that show. I was hopeful for a Season 2, since it had great reviews accross the board and did decent viewership numbers. That's usually sign of a show with growth potential. But I guess Netflix doesn't do growth.

I love me some Samara Weaving. She deserves a big blockbuster role.

Was he ever an alien? "Mogwai" literally means "demon".

I wonder if they’ll touch on the thorny geopolitical situation of Shanghai in the 20s? The city was basically ruled by Europeans and Americans merchants. Oh, and all the drugs.

Sure, we don’t *need* to know anything about Mogwai, but as a kid, I sure wanted to know more. Not necessarily about Gizmo himself, but like, I wanted to know more about what that creature does in the wild world. Honestly, I’m surprised a monster of the week animated series with Mogwais as the main creature took this

Luckily, it’s a very quick watch. Not quite 6 hours. You can watch an episode a day and be done in a week.

FFG also made the last Star Wars card game, on the LCG model (no randomized boosters, but constant new sets). It was actually nice. It's clear the TCG industry is getting some major new contenders - somethings happening, and it'll be fun to see the fallout.

Magic is in a bubble right now, and everyone but Wizards are seeing it. They are making money like never before from whales, but are also losing players. The bubble is going to explode sooner or later, and so the sharks are smelling blood and trying to position themselves to be the alternative.

Having experienced both Quebec’s and Ontario’s system, I found them relatively equivalent overall - they both have field where they bo better than the other and fields where they do worse. So every comparison is gonna be very individualized.

Now playing

Yup, his mother is FC and he was raised in Longueil. He went back to the US at 18.

Crowder and Owens are both garbage, and I’m happy they are eating each other.

See, I disagree slightly, because yes, DeSantis is authoritarian...but so’s Disney. Disney sbsolutely use its power to strongarm and intimidate others into compliance, even more so than the average corporation. So I think it’s ok to recognize that Disney is playing with powers it maybe should not have here, even if in

I thought that Ben “my doctor wife told me wet pussies are a medical condition” Shapiro.

Or alternatively, don’t divorce your stay-at-home wife after 15 years and then complain about her alimony and how she’s taking half of “your” stuff.
