My office is closed for the week between Christmas and New Year’s, so I lost track of what day it is some time ago.

If we’re bringing back dead sub-blogs, can I get I Thee Dread back?! I enjoyed it greatly back in the day and I’m sad that it died BEFORE I got engaged!!

Here for the old-timer circlejerk....as someone who is still in the grays in what I still think of as the “new” system, I still miss the days when all you needed to be a starred commenter was 40 followers...I worked hard for that shit!

My cat loves kale too! It’s so weird!!

Speaking only for myself, I love them because I am one of those people from Massachusetts who gets really excited when cool people are also from Massachusetts, so the fact that they are both cute famous people from Massachusetts who are in love makes me weirdly happy.

One time in high school a teacher opened with “Let’s get down to business” and our entire class started singing that song and didn’t let the teacher continue until we’d finished the entire thing.

I live near a large historic cemetery in Brooklyn (Greenwood, for those in the know), and while they actively encourage people to visit (they have tours and art exhibits and such), they expressly forbid running, biking, and pets.

That and “that’s not a wife, this is a wife” made the whole thing worth it.

My brothers and I went through the deck and removed any cards we didn’t feel like explaining before we played CAH with my parents.

Pret a Manger does jambon beurre sandwiches with cornichons on them!

I’m still disappointed that the Cape & Islands spinoff of Jersey Shore, Wicked Summah, never came to fruition :(

They will not demand proof, however

I’m glad to know this is apparently a thing, because I went to college with a trans guy whose Facebook presence became suuuuuper MRA-y after he transitioned, and I was baffled.

Protip: defrosting chicken in hot water is basically inviting bacteria to take up residence.

What’s hilarious about this is you almost had it on the nose - Jenny Slate actually went to Milton Academy, and Chris Evans is from Sudbury!

Also, haven’t they not even been together that long? I don’t know enough about Joe Jonas to have a problem with him, and I loooove Sophie/Sansa, but I’m still judging this.

One of my favorite bits on the most recent episode of Last Week Tonight was the debut of the “Hitler-Hanks” scale of human evil.

I was already laughing hysterically at the first two scenes in that montage, but when it cut to the hopscotch I basically died. Best moment ever, I will miss him mostly because of moments like those.

I’m just glad that we got to see him play hopscotch while screaming before he left.

Word is that the homemade mozzarella is the real star, both of this sandwich and all their sandwiches, so I bet you could get a comparable Fiore’s experience without the meat so long as the mozz is involved!
