Yes, I've been listening to Sims all year and haven't gotten tired of it yet. Lazerbeak's production on that record absolutely kills.

I'm sure "what about [movie]?" posts are the worst for writers of Random Roles, but WHAT ABOUT MEDIUM COOL?

When I first saw that movie in the theater, my boyfriend and I had to leave five minutes early because he had to go to work, and we both assumed Scott would end up with Knives.

Really, none of you guys thought he was funny? I thought his over-the-top seriousness and constantly needing to reference his prison past were hilarious. I laughed out loud at "25 years to life…Life. Let's talk about that word."

I don't even care about his more conventional indie dramas, but George Washington is a truly devastating film. Maybe one of the most deeply sad and beautiful I've ever seen. So fuck that guy for turning his back on it.

I was forced to see most of the last two seasons of this horror show with my boyfriend, and I laughed so hard at the bullet point that just says "Turtle."

We Need to Talk About Kevin
I'd put it in the "Child is inexplicably evil" category, not "Normal child grows up to do evil." Kevin's murders are part of a lifelong pattern of malicious, destructive behavior. That book plus Dave Cullen's Columbine, in which he argues that Eric Harris was a psychopath who duped his

Rachel Getting Married
I can't believe Rachel Getting Married didn't come up! Yes, the center of that movie is nightmare family drama, and the hippie-ness of the wedding grates eventually, but I know I won't be satisfied unless my wedding involves Fab 5 Freddy getting everyone to say "Hey! Ho!" and the groom singing

How can I see this?
I'm a HUGE Todd Haynes fan so I really want to see this miniseries, but I don't get HBO. Any ideas on when and if it will be on DVD, or how else I might be able to see it?

P.S. 22 Chorus
Are they performing, or do they just get to go see the Oscars? There was that clip of Anne Hathaway showing up at their school to invite them, and I assumed (or maybe hoped) that they would be performing all of the Best Song nominees. I'd much rather see that than Gwyneth Paltrow.

Chinese boys singing "A Public Affair"
was literally the first video I ever watched on YouTube. Ahh, memories.

Cats & Dogs
Isn't it live-action with CGI animals? Does it count as animated because most of the characters are animated CGI? Have other execrable kids' movies like Beverly Hills Chihuahua and Underdog been accepted in this category? If so, couldn't you make an argument for Avatar as animated?

The weirdest thing about Love and Other Drugs is that it's from the director of Blood Diamond, The Last Samurai, and Glory… what?

Totally agree with Vadim
I get a perverse joy out of musicians being insane and mouthing off to the press, even when I don't care for their music. Can't stand any of John Mayer's radio hits, but that interview was hilarious.

Door-to-door salesman
When I was 11, I thought it was the height of comedy to go trick-or-treating as someone who goes door-to-door for a living. So I was a traveling salesman. Despite being a girl, I had an awkward bowlcut at the time, which was not helped by borrowing my dad's sportcoat and briefcase (I guess I

GIANT GOD FIST IN YOUR HOUSE!
Now I'll be looking for a way to insert that into conversations forever.

But is the Titanic re-release in 3D still happening?
I really want to know.

Something like…
"What you're going through is terrible. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Not that I need to. I'm pretty sure Mary Lou Retton's a…an orphan or something."
