Do you propose that they put all of their requests into a single package, or that they pinky-swear to collectively support each other’s interests one at a time until everything gets done?

Actually, it won’t work like that with one hand unless your wrist swivels like a steering wheel. AFAIK, it’s impossible to raise the top with one hand while belted in the driver’s seat, even if you can reach the handle.

Seems like a good time to train replacements.

Michigan would have won the championship 59 to 62.

I suspect that most of these cars will mostly be crushed.

If it weren’t useful to repeat the same message, Coca Cola would have stopped advertising a long time ago.

Fabricating emission tests was explicitly illegal. :-)

That perspective has some merit. :-)

I understand your point perfectly. From a legal perspective, I disagree with it.

Legally, you can lick your plate clean in a restaurant. But it’s still a jerk move

The actual dollar value/cost to lessees of early termination is debatable, but Volkswagen can’t simply terminate their leases early on the basis that the cars are non-compliant and repo the cars. This was part of a civil and criminal fraud, not force majeure or an honest mistake.

Eh, it’s probably unethical to remove major valuable parts from the car before delivering it for the agreed price. But it’s mostly going to the crusher anyway, so it’s a no-harm, no-foul deal.

1) I bet you’ll find that the regents, at least, explicitly are indemnified by the university as a condition of employment. Baylor would have to show that they acted in bad faith to refuse them.

I wish to retain your firm, sir or madam.

Whatever you think of the headline of the article or the suit as filed, the “real story” is that this is a suit against Baylor, because it’s a suit against Baylor’s policy makers and senior executives. Unless they want to pay for their own defense, the defendants certainly will claim that everything they did and said

Burden is on Briles. The required evidence is significantly different if he isn’t considered a public figure (which is a ridiculous claim by Briles).

They’re literally shameless.

Always been my understanding of US libel laws.

“Competition” beyond “MINE!” is a literally incomprehensible idea for five year olds. It’s as stupid as trying to teach them calculus.

If you never lose, you really don’t get better
