The show in general this season seems to be avoiding the "everybody lying to each other" mentality. Like season one Barry probably would've canceled on Patty and then tried to make up an excuse and then there would've been awkward tension for the rest of the season. Instead we have a very charming date sequence that

Yah idk why he didn't like Fred and Wes, I thought their portrayal of drunkenness was really good

Captain Cold is great. The actor gives this snarky performance that would be campy from anybody else, but always works perfectly. He's also not a metahuman, which really makes him more of a badass than other people that The Flash fights

The ending of this episode made literally no sense, like why did killing Zelena trigger the time portal? I mean stuff in this show normally doesn't make sense but I couldn't even BEGIN to follow what was happening there, even by warped OUAT logic!

Well literally the only thing distinguishing it from the Enchanted Forest so far is the Wizard's palace in the Emerald City and that one shot of the Yellow Brick Road, so yah, I'd say that's fair

"Or I can teach you how to drive again! That went so well last time, didn't it?!"

There's been a lot of ridiculous stuff in this show, but my god I think reviving Charming via splitting Snow White's heart in half and putting half in him and half in her was the silliest. I was laughing so hard as Snow tried to convince Regina that "We share the same heart I know it will bring him back because

They probably just didn't want to have to pay both actors for Cora

This was the first episode to REALLY bother me with the accent, because at one point she talks about Regina's "heart" and it sounds like she's saying freaking "hat"

My problem with this episode is they try to make Cora's troubles (betrayal by the fake Prince John, the moral conflict of having to steal from Prince Leopold to satisfy "Prince" John (the amount of supposed princes Cora has been with is preposterous) and the idea that Cora was "forced to give up Zelena even though she

I've had my issues with Connor, as I'm sure we all have. His acting is not the best, even this late in the game (in that scene with the hostages Angel shows 10 times more emotion than Connor), and the plot threads that revolved around him were strenuous at best. Suffice it to say he's probably the second weakest thing

This is the first and probably only episode to make me buy Connor's internal struggle and his monologue to Cordelia's body was the only Connor monologue where I've actually cared about what he was saying. Kudos to this episode for finally making Connor interesting.

For some reason I was expecting that too. That would've made Blackbeard a lot more interesting, they really underused him

I feel like Blackbeard looking like the traditional Hook was actually intentional. His costume was spot on and the shot where the sail shows their shadows-the Peter Pan reference shot-displayed Hook in the position of Peter and Blackbeard in the position of Captain Hook

Seriously, that needs to stop. We get it, she's the Wicked Witch. In this episode alone the word wicked is awkwardly shoved into the dialogue 3 different times, and not even by Zelena one of those times.

You're forgetting abou Emma's boyfriend that turned into a stupid flying monkey. Every time they try to shoehorn that plot point in and legitimize it I just laugh. At least Hook knows how stupid that was.

It works better here than in those situations though

I actually really liked this episode. The witch was genuinely creepy, and when she/he/it? took off the hood they actually made it work and didn't try to shoehorn something like "oh the creepy witch is Regina's aunt!" or something stupid like that. No, they used a metaphor that actually worked and had some depth to it.

I stopped watching this show after this episode for a long time. I preferred to just pretend this was the series finale because as a series finale it really works (if you leave out the Hook visits Emma ending). I just recently started watching it again, I wonder just how downhill it will go.

I really love the flashback story in this episode. I've always wanted this show and it's characters to interact more with the real world, and having this guy and his son stumble upon Storybrooke and interact with the weirdness is cool. It also gives more development to Regina, which is always a good thing(I swear, the
