My feelings are identical to your post.

Did you graduate high school in 1993?

oh dear god.

I'm glad to see "Send Me on My Way" on here to know that I'm not alone. That song is forever in my head, forever mocking me.

To be fair, a search on istock images for the word "hacker" only brought up 22,919 images. And some of those images cost more than $2 to use for a web article.

To be fair, Bowie had released a phenomenal album days before his death and Chuck hasn't released an album since 1979. I love Chuck Berry, and don't love the jokes, but I get it.

I've never heard a Yo La Tengo album that didn't eventually grow on me, but they take a while and sometimes I'm not in the mood to let a slow grower grow on me, and now there are three or four albums I need to catch up on. That's my interpretation of "fatigue."

"I am not afraid of you and I will beat your ass" might be the album you are looking for.

I also checked out with Ancient Melodies, and have no ill will towards the band. I just felt little need to keep going. I adore two or three albums and feel that's enough Built to Spill in my life.

As much as I respect Nels, and occasionally love his playing, I miss Jeff playing lead.

When they broke into the cult at the girl cleaning the floor said, "we?" I instantly thought, "The royal 'We'" and I blurted out, "She kidnapped herself." But I didn't think anything of it. But sure enough, the whole thing was like The Big Lebowski. It was a complicated case, lotta ins lotta outs. But it turned out

I just realized I've been hearing "beechwood aged" my entire life and never once considered what that meant, or why it's something I should care about.

It was pretty common in northern Delaware, but thats only an hour or so away, so I suppose I'm agreeing with you.

Am I your father-in-law, because I once put a lime in a bottle of Bud and have been telling people for years that it tastes exactly like corona. (nobody cares)

Sick . . . burn?

It's also inaccurate. His post 2000 work is very good. It usually takes three or four listens to click, and I guess that is asking a lot of some people. I can't imagine how anyone could be a fan of Tom Petty and not love Highway Companion.

I love Harry Chapin and my description of him is pretty similar. Hour-long ballads about dudes who got dumped and wasted their lives and had their dreams crushed and kids who hated them!

His wife wrote the lyrics, but we'll never know how close the song hit home for Harry. As for being an a-hole, he dedicated most of his time and money to ending world hunger. His charity lives on and receives unanimous top ratings from all the charity trackers.

What about the song is pandering? it's a sad song about loss and regret. Nobody wins. Time marches on. Mistakes can't be healed. Where are people hearing maudlin?

And for some magic reason it hits them right away, not hours later gluing them to their seats.
