Question: when did we stop doing first initials on jerseys for players with the same last name? I know nobody is in danger of confusing Ben for Jonathan Simmons, but it still strikes me as odd. Has everyone just stopped doing this?

The Broncos are so committed to mediocre white QBs that are tall and look the part. When Flacco fails out, they’ll be just in time to sign Josh Allen after the Bills give up on him.

LeBron looks still hurt. The way he is not rotating on those moves just... doesn't look like LeBron.

Here is my conundrum: the best possible outcome is probably moving to a different part of town with a new stadium. The idea being that over time, you could build the fan base in an important region for young athletes. Florida is important for the long term future of baseball.

Rrealistically Simmons is an adult. He's not some 16 year old kid being picked out of the Dominican by scouts, any meeting he has with Johnson isnt going to sway him unless he wants to be swayed. Every team in the NBA would like to have Simmons. Simmons knows this. There's nothing Magic can say that isnt known to all

Bonus: the guy who fails to rotate on the switch and leaves him open is... Matthew Dellavedova!

I think you buried the lede here, as Christian Hackenburg somehow beat out Zach Mettenburger for the starting QB gig in Memphis. He was 10/23 with a pick and no TDs

I hope Davis plays just well enough to get them to the 10-14 range in the lottery.

This can’t happen, thanks to the Cavs using this move to trade and resign Zydrunas Ilgauskas years ago. There’s actually rules forbidding this now. Which I believe means they can’t sign with any of Cleveland, Portland or Houston.

The Pelicans made exactly one move to honestly support Davis towards being a contender - trading for Boogie. They undermined even that move by cheaping out on him. They didn't have a single competent wing player on that team for years. Theyre in the 50th ranked TV market and they were bugged about the goddamn luxury

I feel bad for Marcellus Wiley. Wiley was genuinely funny and entertaining on Sportsnation on ESPN. Fox Sports has taken all of the worst of ESPN, but Wiley doesn't deserve to be lumped in with those rejects. He certainly shouldn't have to be made to debate Jason Whitlock every day. That is hell.

If I had to guess, this is one of those situations where media members get tipped off and have to do their due diligence. At the end, even if your opinion as a journalist is that “this is probably nothing”, you dont want to have done all that work if it turns into something later. Then it looks like you’ve

A team looking to tank to preserve their draft pick, and who could use a long term asset with upside. Like maybe the Cavs.

I am legitimately surprised they haven't traded Fultz for a veteran. Granted they still have time. But they could easily flip him for a more useful bench wing that could actually shoot. Like maybe Jordan Clarkson or Alec Burks on the Cavs. Clarkson has a non expiring deal but he's actually able to shoot (and quite

The way the Knicks handled the media to create angst against Porzingis from their fans is... straight evil. Porzingis isn't exactly a savvy media guy and they really tried to turn fans against him by reporting he requested the trade/meeting. They deserve to be a dumpster fire

If the Chargers can play a couple of seasons in a low capacity soccer stadium, why not the Raiders? At this point they should just move to Vegas and use Sam Boyd Stadium at UNLV until their own digs are ready. Capacity is only 40k? That's literally better than what the Chargers are doing.

I would say it’s about a 270. He starts with his shoulders turned inside, leaps to the outside, catches, spins and finishes pretty much parallel to the baseline. Definitely not 360. But a little more than 180

A few years ago I saw an old lady take a baseball to the head at an Indians/Nationals game. I remember thinking how awful it would be if she ended up dying from it. I kept up on her throughout the summer to find that she managed to survive it. The only good thing that came of it is that the Indians put up the netting

Psst... Eskimo is a slur. The term disparages itself:

As a Cavs fan I’m wondering if maybe Kyrie isn’t actually that good. The Celtics got to the ECF without him last year, the Cavs weren’t even that much worse without him. Like maybe Kyrie is just Damian Lillard or Kemba Walker with trouble getting along with people.
