“Coupling” was a completely different beast from Doctor Who, too, and while Moffat’s episodes for 9 and 10 were mostly pretty great, they weren’t all that indicative of what the show was going to be.

Ultron was kind of training ground for Marvel’s “just throw it all in” approach. It was overstuffed, but Civil War was much better, and Guardians 2 and Ragnarok better still.
