Yes. used cars were a better value 10 or 20 years ago, but they are overpriced now. Probably because so many folks are hurting financially and/or have terrible credit and are forced to buy used, jacking the prices up.

When we were buying our car, I was ready with all the right answers for the undercoat, clearcoat protectant, extended warranty and all the other bullshit they try to sell you. But my wife made it all completely unnecessary.

I just forwarded this to GM customer care and after sales via our internal social network at GM. I really hope they can help this guy out. Stuff like this is why I can't bring myself to trust dealers....
