Only logged in to join the masses in saying that this is not an improvement. Not by a long-shot. I'll be back to all the Gawker sites if, and only if, the redesigns are reversed.

@knwldg: Ha! Thanks for the recommendations!

@supersayanyoda: At least check out the Associated Press one in WP7, if you are looking for news apps in that OS. It's free and pretty good! But I'd love to get some more recommendations for decent, free news apps in WP7.

@knwldg: I have the AP one in WP7, but that's all. I've been limiting myself to freebies. Are there any other good, free news apps in WP7 which you recommend?

@sinesurfer: Not that I would ever suggest that it comes even close to the BBC version of Top Gear, but the American team taught a blind guy to drift this season. He did an amazing slide into a parking spot, too. Much better than the other presenters!

@Lite: an adventurer is me!: Yes! Boolean searches FTW! It may be old school, but that is still how I construct searches. Even on Google.

If you order directly from the manufacturer, it's cheaper. They also ship for free!

@Canon7D-Fanboy: They are going to say "I do not consent." Which makes it against the law for you to record the conversation. The law requires not only that the other party be informed, but that they also consent to the recording. Meanwhile, the cop can record all day long, whether or not you know OR consent.

For folks who say that you can't "eavesdrop" on yourself, the law doesn't look at it that way. The eavesdropper in this situation isn't you, exactly. The eavesdropper is the electronic device. It is listening in on the conversation between you and the other party without that party's knowledge or consent. Each

@Jackstick: He attempted to have a new chin surgically created. It failed miserably. After all that wasted time, effort and pain, he's vowed to not go down that road again. This is a perfect compromise for him. Good thing we live in a day and age that he still has options!

Yay Boxee Box! Well, and my PlayOn software. Don't think I'd like my Boxee Box as much if I couldn't access Hulu.

Ha! We used to hear that story when I was a student there, but no one ever seemed to know more than "yeah, the first x-ray was taken here." Weird that it would be decades later that I get the true story. Thanks Gizmodo!

@Anirudh Choudhary: The Lightning (now rebranded as the Dell Venue Pro) isn't going to be available on AT&T any time soon. It's going to be on T-Mobile and isn't even among those phones releasing today. There is a good basis to believe that the Venue Pro is capable of operating on AT&T's GSM frequencies, but that

@crackel: And that seems a specious argument in support of the idea that change will result from people abstaining. Someone will always show up to vote. Someone will always win. What exactly have you accomplished other then losing your opportunity to at least have a say as to whom you'd prefer among your bad

The map doesn't seem to take into account how recent the polling data is or how reputable the pollsters. It simply takes in all the available poll results, adds them together and averages the results. I know that my house district is a toss-up based upon all recent, reliable polls. The Google map has my district

@Matt0505: Are there no propositions or referendums in your district? I certainly hope that you show up to voice your opinion on those at the very least. They do affect you directly.

@meatbag_pussrocket: ATT isn't getting it. Which bites. It's my favorite handset. TMobile coverage is absolutely crappy where I live. I get great discounts through work for ATT (along with much better coverage and 3G). ATT plus that Dell handset would have been awesome. Guess I'll just have to learn to love one

I'm buying one for its Microsoft Exchange and Office capabilities. They won't be perfect right out of the box (since this release is aimed at consumers, not business), but eventually I'll have seamless integration between the office and my personal phone for business purposes. I'm already running WinMo on my

@Michael: I totally understand the burner space issue. You're right that if that is your problem, the buoy is the solution. However, it isn't faster. Heating two closed containers each containing half the water will result in your boiling the same amount of water faster than boiling all your water in an open pot.

@Michael: Actually, it works perfectly fine. My tea kettle certainly holds more than a couple of cups of water. Fill the tea kettle with half the water and fill a lidded pot with the other half. By the time your tea kettle boils, you have enough boiling water for pasta; just pour the boiling tea kettle water into
