Pike was great. I can’t figure how they got him so right and Burnham so wrong.

If they aren’t Michael Burnham, the show doesn’t care about them. My favorite S1 episode (ironically) was when they finally took the time to give a bridge crew member some backstory just so you might care when they killed her off later in that same episode.

The article title had me hoping that a whole other captain aside from Burnham would be introduced (since the character worked better in the first two seasons when Pike and Lorca were around to push back) but alas.

I like your optimism, but now that Burnham’s captain, I fear the show might lean even harder into the whole “Burnham is awesome and amazing at everything.”

That whole cast is just tripping over themselves with talent and perfection. It’s almost unfair how easy they make it all look.

I’ve said this many times, but each of Brosnan’s films had a central idea at its core that tried to do something new and cool within the Bond formula:

“My “favorites” though are the men 45-50 and over who say they want kids.”

As a 42 year-old man who has not yet had children due to various health issues with my partner and instability in my own life, this one hurt. There are people who *still* want to have children later in life, but were unable to do so when they

Ask Lizzie Bennett. That’s why I hate that fucking book.

Oh good, a politician doesn’t a understand slang term and AV Club saw Finsta trending and decided to do a shitty blog.

So I was going to do my own big write up and refer to my time with SW:G and this is the first game I’ve played ever since those days that feels a certain, unique way. This isn’t a carbon copy MMO of WoW and it is bloody refreshing compared to so many others.

You really make it sound like Star Wars Galaxies! Man, I miss that game.

We remember one of the greatest if not the greatest moments in AV Club history.

I’m not a fan of Washington, as a person, but she was so wrong. When you’re number 1 on the call sheet, you’re supposed to set the tone of how to behave on set. Pulling that ‘my show’ shit is unprofessional and looks bad to everyone working with you.

I feel like the underappreciated part of this whole thing is that... Denzel Washington wanted to direct an episode of Grey’s Anatomy?

Somehow this makes me like & respect both of them less, they both come off as egotistical and somewhat abusive

I’d hesitate to put Bennett in the same vein as Hartman and Ferrell, but I’d also put Phil and Will into their own categories instead of lumping them together, because each brought their own unique dynamic to SNL. Ferrell was supposed to be the new Hartman, but he created his own absurdist niche out of the assumption

I love both these actors but JC’s character is as unsympathetic as just about anyone I’ve seen her play, and OI nailed it squarely on the head when he referred to her offer to move him and their daughter to London and set them up to accommodate her promotion as “moving luggage”, whether or not she was hoping for a

As a male who: works full-time, cooks just about each night, cleans the house, will help with laundry (though I really dislike folding), and takes out the trash/recycling, etc., etc.. (we do not have kids) I have to say that I find this comment section hilarious.

How's your comedy tour of the Catskills going?

I watched the first episode but it was a struggle, really just because I am tired of apocalypse porn right now.
