You realize that 75%+ of Wii owners were not gamers right, but old folks homes, community centers, hipsters? Consoles sold does not = games sold, as evidenced by the attach rate of new games to Wii.

I think the big issue though when merging any kind of tech is what is the big sacrifice. You cannot do 2 things well at one. If they want to do portable, do portable, give up on the console entirely.

Whe nthe Xbox 360 launched originally it didnt even have HDMI becuase not many people had HDTVs. And look at us now 10 years later. I think there will be many more advantages to Neo and Scrop than jsut VR, that will be an added bonus only.

3rd parties were thrilled to be part of the WiiU, I remember the E3 presentation, with EA on stage swearing their support, then things sold slow, and devs got lazy because it was not status quo, and then they dropped it.

After seein all the developer reactions to MS annoucnement of Scorpio, and how every single one said we are so please with a system that has more power, we always need more power, it is hard to beleive that Nintendo will attract 3rd party unless it is on par with the competition.

This is Nnty afterall, ushering in “Next Gen” with the WiiU, that was about as good as the last gen PS3 / Xb360. So Iwould not be surprised if we see something like the Tegra chip utilized.
