To be fair, we’ve been seeing Crackdown 3 for years now.

Because when you have thousands of games and you’re (or others) trying to find something to play, it’s a nice reminder of what you actually have when perusing your shelves. I’ve done this with Wii U games, and I’ll likely do it with Switch games too, I just don’t have enough digital titles yet to do so.

I agree that putting out a trailer without a demo is easier, but you have to remember that at least on Xbox 360, ALL of the XBLA games had demos, so that number is severely skewered from the get-go. Not to mention the fact that every game I can think of this gen and last has had a trailer, and those stats become even…
