Don’t mind him. It’s an conditioned response based on the general experience on Reddit, probably. There are mods who have bots that literally spam a list of “vaush evil” stuff in threads whenever he gets his name mentioned. He’s probably used to having to go hard against misinfo.
He’s a cool guy. Not perfect, of

Yes and no. At the end of the day the game is still a work of fiction, and fiction has a message whether we want to believe it’s there or not. It doesn’t mean you can’t or shouldn’t have depictions of bad people or people being treated poorly or people abusing stereotypes, but it’s important to be aware the story is

Seconded

I don’t know how prevalent it is, but I’ve see European white supremacists who lean into pagan iconography for that very reason.

It’s annoying to see this as someone who can really get into that medieval aesthetic, but who also is not a racist shitbag.

And just to add somewhat to what you said, I think a lot of the concerns brought up are either not valid or a case of perspective. It’s really easy to think everyone is lazy when your bar is “Working to the point of sickness” is the general norm. Of course, someone is not going to work is hard if they’re not afraid of

This exactly. I think this gets lost or ignored so often in this conversation. The idea that everyone in this market is a rational actor is just not true, and corporations operate wholly on the premise that they’re not.

That’s interesting. I never really dug into the Marvel tv shows beyond the first season of Daredevil, but you’re right that there were a lot more nuance and areas of grey in just what I saw there. It’d be nice if the partners were willing to be brave with their content. It doesn’t need to be jam-packed with it or

Thanks for writing this. It’s not really a perspective I’ve taken the time to consider before. I’ve not really considered how authority is portrayed in our games, really, much less how it’s shifting. Likewise with the general portrayal of those who have been labelled by authority as in violation of the law.

First off, I love these articles, and enjoy reading every one of them.

Agreed. I love me some Junkrat, but when Pharah’s on board I pretty much have to switch unless someone else has her covered.

I flex a and have lost count of the number of times I’ve full-held the last point of King’s Row with him. That diagonal angle through the two doors with the dip at the end? It’s a dream setup. With good trap placement and mine usage, he can pretty well lock down two or more paths forward for the enemy team.

Based on the self-evident truth of the statement, it looks like the argument goes to Flawed_Logic, whose name was obviously chosen ironically.

In every bethesda game I’ve ever played, I’ve installed what’s similar to a mod like this. In *all* the time I’ve played, in what’s been decades now, I’ve never once killed a child. The idea, personally, makes me kind of sick, especially now that I have a daughter of my own.

It’s nice to find a post you actually want to save for future reference. Thanks for posting that. It’s one of the best explanations of objectification I’ve come across.
