I think that’s the problem the author is having with this movie. It’s hard to escape into a movie when the dialogue, action, and plot are so shitty you feel like you’re watching an adaptation of a 15 year old’s fan fiction. If there are so many fuckups that are so egregious that you find yourself saying, “That was

I hate this mentality.

I take movies roughly as seriously as they take themselves. Fast and Furious franchise? A brain-off fun time. This movie, on the other hand, takes itself super seriously and should be mocked appropriately.

I’m not saying that every story has to be revolutionary... I’m just saying that I don’t see why you’d be interested in the moviegoing experience at all if you’re only interested in the visuals. What do you do during the parts of the movie where they’re focused on the plot or setup? The action usually occupies a

I find poorly made movies boring, not fun, and tedious, even with my brain turned off. There’s a difference between well-made trash and complete crap.

Almost like the drug war was invented to replace Jim Crow.

"I just don’t think [Gustin] was a good fit. I’m very strict with this universe and I just don’t see a version where... that (tone is) not our world." Translation: "See, he is happy and positive and that shit don't fly here"

I honestly don’t understand why anyone thought the lead of a 23 episode-a-season network show (and whatever crossovers to Arrow, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow they decide to put on his plate) would have the time, energy or interest to do anything else.

I don’t think you can use a con appearance as a measuring stick either. For example, let’s take anime voice actor Vic Mignogna. I know he’s no where near the level of fame of even Jeremy here, but as far as anime VA go, he’s right up near the top. I’ve been to a lot of his panels at various cons and he’s nothing but

I AM GROOT?!

Maybe this is what comes from becoming hot after an entire boyhood being known as Fat Cavill.

I don’t care about the “appropriation”. In the 70s, the mood was definitely “wear everything”. Nobody Black gave a shit when White people got perms and did Afros. It was all good.

I mean... I’m a light skinned partially hispanic partially white girl with curly frizzy hair and I would alwayssss get it braided when on vacay with my family. It was a godsend at the beach. It’s only appropriation in cases like Kara was talking about because they are ignoring where it came from and basically saying

I can 100% vouch for this. Despite their rebranding, and apparent “new-found popularity” with non-black people, when I wore my hair in cornrows last week my boss went out of his way to “compliment” me by saying: “I like that hair. Looks thuggish.” Oh yeah? Thanks guy.

That. That was the line/description that KILLED me.

I love Yvette Nicole Brown’s response to this “trend” so I’ll just leave this here

I’ve also heard Fiege mention that maybe that is why the super soldier serum only worked on Cap.

BUT HOW HUMAN BE MORE THAN ONE IDENTITY SAME TIME? HOW WOMAN HAVE THOUGHTS? WHY WOMAN SPEAK? HOW IS BABBY FORMED? HOW MY NAME ANCIENT EMPEROR? TRUMP2016!

Go read Tony Hillerman, a white man, who wrote many novels with Navajo protagonists and based hugely on Navajo (and other tribal) mythology and beliefs. One of Hillerman’s books is titled “Skinwalkers”, and there’s a lot about the Navajo belief in witches in his books. He did such a good job that he was officially
